Break and Steal an Egg Pen & Inventory Guide
A successful carry is wasted if the animal cannot be placed or if the base is filled with weaker animals that no longer support progression. Pen management is part of the main loop, not an end-game cleanup task.
What you need to know
Check free pen space before a risky run, upgrade the pen when capacity blocks useful placements and remove or replace weaker animals deliberately. Use Equip Best as a starting point, then verify the placed lineup and income in your own base.

Make sure the next hatch has somewhere to go before choosing a distant or guarded egg.

Inventory, merging and the Index
Inventory decisions connect three screens. The pen determines what earns, Merge Pets uses matching animals, and the Index shows whether a hatch adds collection progress.
Do not remove a duplicate needed for a planned merge until you have checked the merge inputs. Do not keep a weak animal only because it is new if the Index has already recorded it and your current goal is income.
